The challenge

Students received a protocol, cookbook style manual. Many lacked practical insight and only had theoretical knowledge, leading to confusion and basic questions. As a result, lab sessions were inefficient, and many students failed to meet the intended learning objectives.

The transformation

Now, LabBuddy includes interactive explanations of all methods, developed by a LabBuddy e-learning specialist. Students design their own workflows, which increases engagement and ownership. Because there are no lab PCs, printed work modes are used to guide them during practicals.

The final result

Students are better prepared and understand the connections between methods. There are fewer low-level questions and there’s more room for interpretation and discussion. Practicals are shorter and learning outcomes have improved.
